“It should be better known that you have to pay extra for tickets to enter the place (42€), ontop of what you already pay, and what you are then paying for is JUST transport in truth as both palaces have their own tour guide. However if you do want to do this trip going with a group is really the only and best way of doing it. The timing of the day was good, both palaces were worth seeing”

Review of Radius Tours’ Neuschwanstein day trip from Munich, with castle access, scenic Bavarian views, guides, costs, walking, and practical tips.

“The tour company makes it clear that it is at least a ten hour day. Ours was 11 hours due to train delay. The castle surroundings and exterior views are beautiful. Fortunately we had good weather. The interior of the castle is incredibly beautiful and unique. The tour inside the castle is run by the state of Bavaria; it is very regimented and insufficient time is provided (only about 20 minutes in the attractive rooms) to assess and admire the beautiful interior. The tour company organized what it could control very well and our guide, Anna, was knowledgeable, enthusiastic and very helpful. I recommend that you only undertake this tour…”

“The tour guide, Achim, was very kind, friendly and knowledgeable about Dachau and the history surrounding Dachau. I would recommend him for anyone taking the tour. He allows some personal time to view areas of the camp by yourself at the end of the tour, he gives very interesting facts and information about the camp and around the records from the time. The journey to the camp was realively easy, Achim guided to the train which brought us to Dachau and then onto a bus to the camp. The tour was not too long, the trip was around 5 hours, it would be nice to have some more free roam…”

“It was a pretty cold evening so we were hoping for a great ghost tour to help us forget about the cold and Julia did not disappoint. She said she was relatively new at the position but you couldn't tell. She had lots of stories, some gruesome, some on the lighter side but all were interesting. There was walking involved but the stops were often and the spirits helped keep us warm, too. Julia was great. A great way to spend an evening in Munich!”
